Chief Development Officer | American Landmark

Ron serves as the CDO for American Landmark, and a Member of Senior Executive Management Committee. Ron most recently served as a principal with Green Bear Real Estate Capital, LLC located in North Palm Beach Florida. Green Bear Capital develops multi-family apartment communities and acquires existing value-add apartments and single-family homes. Mr. Gaither has served as the President and CEO of FirstCity Bank of Commerce and was one of the bank's founding shareholders and a member of the Board of Directors. FirstCity Bank is a private business bank with approximately $100 million of assets under management. Prior to joining FirstCity Bank, Mr. Gaither was the Chief Operating Officer of Arbor Commercial Mortgage LLC and Executive Vice President of Arbor Realty Trust. Arbor Commercial Mortgage is a delegated multi-family lender for Fannie Mae and FHA. Arbor Realty Trust is a publicly-traded REIT that invests in high yield bridge loans, mezzanine debt, and preferred equity for commercial real estate assets.

Ron holds a Masters in Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Winston-Salem State University. He has served on the Board of Directors for FirstCity Bank of Commerce; The Palm Beach Angel Forum; PNC Captive Reinsurance Corporation; the Real Estate Executive Council, and the Advisory Board of the Sam Zell Real Estate Institute at the Wharton Graduate School. Mr. Gaither has served on the Freddie Mac Affordable Housing Advisory Council and was an Independent Director of Landmark Apartment Trust of America.
